Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Who is eligible to call?

Anyone can contact the TRC if they are having troubles arranging a ride.  We will use our resources to assist you in any way we can.  Additionally, there is currently funding to help pay for transportation for seniors and people with disabilities to health related appointments.

2.  What is the service area?

Currently the TRC services all of Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright counties.  We will also transport for health related appointments to Alexandria, Big Lake, Brainerd, Eden Valley,  New London, Minneapolis and 7 county metro area locations, Princeton, Rochester, Spicer and Willmar.

3.  How much does it cost?

We use a suggested donation scale to determine the potential cost of each ride.  A statement will be created and sent to the passenger detailing their rides from the previous month.  This statement will have a suggested donation amount for each ride received.  If the passenger is unable to give at that level, any donation is appreciated and will be put back into the program to provide more rides.  If the passenger is unable to make a donation, they will still be eligible to receive ride assistance.

4.  How much notice do I need to give before attempting to schedule a ride?

48 hours is preferred

5. How does it work?  how do I schedule a ride?

First, call the TRC at 877-717-1515.  We will determine your eligibility and take your ride request information.  A ride coordinator will attempt to schedule your ride and get back to you with pick-up times and driver information.
